upcoming concerts in 2010 - 11

The chorus has a busy schedule planned for this next year including these five events:

Fall Concert:
Sunday - Nov. 7, 4 p.m.
First Baptist Church
315 W. Michigan Avenue in downtown Kalamazoo

This concert launches the 84th performance season of the Kalamazoo Male Chorus. Held in the intimate confines of the First Baptist Church sanctuary (accessible to all) this concert will feature choral literature from our spring appearance with the Great Lakes Male Chorus Association as well as new music centering on the themes of peace, freedom and football. The concert begins at 4 p.m. and is partially underwritten by a grant from the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation.

 

Christmas Concert: Christmas in Kalamazoo
Sunday - Dec. 5, 5 p.m.
First Presbyterian Church
321 W. South Street in downtown Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo Male Chorus will join with the Kalamazoo Ringers and the Kalamazoo Brass to present Christmas in Kalamazoo, a fantastic concert filled with handbells, voices, and brass instruments. The concert will be presented on Sunday, December 5th, at 5 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, in downtown Kalamazoo. Admission is free. Bring a friend to this amazing collaboration of talented musicians, for a concert extravaganza showcasing holiday music and Christmas joy from beginning to end.

 

Heart to Tart - A Valentine Dessert Concert
Sunday - Feb. 13, 5 p.m.

This concert will feature special guest the Duffield/Caron Project.

 

Spring 2011 Concert: An Evening of Friendship, Fellowship & Song

GLMCA Big Sing
Saturday, May 7, 2011, 7 p.m.
Midland, MI

The 2011 Big Sing will be hosted by the Midland Men Of Music.  In this concert we join with other member choruses of the Great Lakes Male Chorus Association to form a group of over 250 men.  The result is truly a powerful sound!
